In a setback for the online film festival ’scene’, Sundance has terminated its relationship with Mediastile after missed royalty checks and traffic reports, but now the filmmakers have to deal with the situation themselves.
The new board of the Screen Actors Guild will meet Oct. 18 after urging its board to take a strike authorization vote. The Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers says it’s no time to be talking about going on strike - “Not only is the business suffering from recent economic conditions, but if ever there was a time when Americans wanted the diversions of movies and television, it is now.”
StudioDaily offers great advice to filmmakers everywhere from a sound engineer’s point of view, which is often neglected on DIY projects. ‘Forget about Fix It in Post’ points out that “many recorded sound problems cannot be fixed in post….much to the disbelief of producers.”
