Poster Design Competition Announced
A horror film was conceptualized on Massify. It was even cast on Massify. And it’s going to premiere at Horrorfest 3. But first it needs a poster! With the launch of our latest competition, you get to show off your design skills to create the poster for Perkins’ 14. Check out these links for inspiration.
Along with pointing out memorable movie posters, Observin does an excellent job of explaining why they are effective in their aptly titled article, 31 great movie posters for design inspiration.
Film reviewer/master poker player TC Candler has made a list of the 100 best movie posters of all time. While I’m sure you’ve seen all of them, it never hurts to review the classics.
And since Perkins’ 14 is a genre film, it might be useful to see what that community considers the top horror movie posters of 2007.
Lastly, from a more practical standpoint, this article is about poster creation in general. It contains time-honored pieces of advice, like to remember your audience and to clarify your message.
