Why we’re excited about the new contest

Everybody loves a list. So in the spirit of competition, here are the Top 5 reasons why you should enter our new contest to direct a music video with RSA Films and Epic Records.

5. The contest is all about talent and ideas. You don’t need to own a professional HD camera to enter this competition. It’s more about the strength of your idea and the talent you share in your pitch. If you put a lot of work into your treatment and storyboards, it will show.

4. There’s a lot of room to be creative. The sound and subject matter of the song Don’t Forget Sister, coupled with the structure of a music video, will allow for some really great, cinematic ideas.

3. The contest puts anyone who enters in front of industry professionals. Having a panel of judges for the first rounds should streamline the pitch and casting processes, in addition to giving our users more visibility. At the same time, it helps fulfill the promise of Massify. Anybody can enter the competition with an idea, and has a chance to walk out a director.

2. While the last contest was a for a feature film, this music video instead resembles a short film, especially since actors will be cast in it. We hope a lot of people who are excited about the creative freedom of short form content will get involved.

We’re thrilled that they share our commitment to the power of Massify’s creative community, and we can’t wait to bring this music video to life.
